...this world is not made for me,
It’s a game of Sims that I can’t leave It’s big brother ‘til the end of time Stuck in a piss poor pantomime My life is pernicious, it’s a joke with no punchline My life is a mojito with a rotten wedge of lime It’s a rollercoaster with half a loop the loop It’s a Tesco value can of shit-flavoured soup Like a contact lens left in overnight, nothing is clear; I’m a nobody, get me out of here. After a mental health crisis, relationship breakdown, temporary homelessness, a global pandemic and a mild bout of eczema, T.S. IDIOT is back, and at least slightly older (if not better) than his last run of Fringe shows with Love, Death, Other in 2017. In I’m a Nobody he asks all the questions you wish no one had thought of: If olive oil's made from olives, what do they put in baby oil? Where's my trousers? And when did everything get so terrible? Come on a journey of confusion and ennui with the South West's prince of disappointment and sultan of uncertainty as T.S. IDIOT unravels thoughts (and possibly his mind) on loss, sadness, confusion and Tesco value soup. Written by Tom Stockley, first performed as a work in progress at Bristol's Wardrobe Theatre in February 2020. Love and thanks to Loupe Theatre, P.E. Teachers, Cherry Bakewells, Fluoxetine and failures everywhere - I love you. |
