The last of the summer months have been a busy time, preparing for exhibitions and fine-tuning elements of my practice to hit the ground running in September. SPACE37 (www.facebook.com/space37fal), our newly created venue has been home to an artist in residence (Ida Milk) and its first event (SQUARES 7). The space will be fully functional by September, with a full year of events, exhibitions and residencies planned. Nine Derricott and I have also been developing our collaborative practice within the walls of SPACE37, under the working title of ARTPOP (See the following journal post for further info). As well as preparing to exhibit at HOWL (Penryn), The Green Heart (Newquay) and Artizan (Torquay), I also had the privilege of having a poem published with United Press www.unitedpress.co.uk) in their upcoming anthology Ripples in Verse. With these projects almost behind me, I plan to continue developing my practice through performance, installation and print, dissertation planning (AN(art)CHY in the UK: The influence of the Punk subculture on Contemporary Art), collaboration and commercial work (an advertisement piece outside The Old Town Hall Gallery)
