FUTURE:FEAST was an immersive performance commissioned by Bristol Food Connections in 2018. Working with local artists, acting students and a chef, the night consisted of a sit down meal of futuristic food combined with performances, set design and audio-visual installations - all set in the year 2084. Re-imagining a dystopian future where animal products are outlawed and society is more unequal than ever, our participants were invited to reconsider their thoughts on class, diet and social constructs as reality crumbled around them.
"An immersive experience in a dystopian world of our creation. Think Star Trek meets Come Dine With Me, or Heston Blumenthal on acid. 20 guests will join us as characters in a story told with (vegan) food, films and performance. From this point you are in our world. Eat, Watch and Feel as the future crumbles around us and you become characters in a two-hour experience set in the year 2084. In a world where Trump's president, why should dinner make sense?"
