These are the words of John Milton, writing about the experience of losing his sight. In Salt In The Wounds / When I Consider How My Light Is Spent, T.S. IDIOT reflects on their own experiences of of loss and visibility - a childhood in seaside suburbia, a changing relationship with the coast and self identity and queering the narrative of being assigned coastal at birth.
Salt In The Wounds / When I Consider How My Light Is Spent (working title) is an ongoing multimedia body of work. A poetry film is currently in its research and development phase, with a live performance at Fringe Theatre Fest in June 2021 and a residency and exhibition with The Fish Factory in July.
