June has seen the completion of 2 projects; a commission for The Shed restaurant and SQUARES, a visual and performing arts event. In a way, this represents the duality of my practice in the last 2 years - pop-style collage work that is fairly flat in meaning and has been pushed as far as it can go, and that involving performance, collaboration and installation that is more conceptually sophisticated but has much further to be pushed (in terms of coherence, technical process and display/documentation). With the Summer ahead, I plan to concentrate my practice towards this, having created a diagram illustrating the concept, process and documentation necessary for such work to flourish as I enter the final year of my Fine Art BA. Current projects include further collaboration with Nine Derricott, an audio-visual group exhibition (Margaret Thatcher's Neon Play House - https://www.facebook.com/events/1597552467195819) and a collaboration with architects (documentation coming soon). Through such activities I hope to fine-tune my practice towards something richer and more coherent, playing on my strengths as a collaborator, organiser and composer of things.
