The winter months have been both rewarding and exhausting. Looking ahead to 2016, these are the focal points of my practice:
EVENTS:
SPACE37 continues to develop, holding poetry nights, gigs and life drawing to name but a few. It remains a space for collaboration, performance and entertainment, providing me the experience and skill set to take the concepts forward to bigger and better venues in the future.

TEMPLE, an experimental art/music night at The Social Club was met with great success and will be held again on January 29th. Again, this serves as a space for collaboration and alternative performance and an antidote to Falmouth's existing scene.
MUSIC:
Building on my interest in performance and costume, I have been working with musicians to create and perform music. Experimenting with costume, poetry and sound in this way has become part of my practice, a vehicle for thoughts and ideas that I feel has more power of delivery to an audience. COLLABORATION:
The concept of making work with other artists has become a precedent. Not only in visual work such as digital videos and collages (such as my recent work with artist Liz Moore) but more noticeably in events and performance - maximum effect on an audience can only be reached through a melting pot of talent - as many disciplines (fine art, dance, music etc.) as possible together to form a grotesque cabaret.
WRITING:
I am nearing completion of my written piece Moments of Disruption, covering 100 years of transgressive performance (from DADA to Lady GaGa) and arguing for the need to galvanize a new generation of transgressive art practitioners
"A hundred influences from a hundred years must be sucked off and spat out, ‘the object’ and ‘the artist’ cast aside in favour of ‘the scene’. Performance, costume, film – the moment and the atmosphere. Everything and nothing said, a palette broadened to include time, sound and light as standard materials for a new art. In the wreckage of the times, collaboration and experience become our buoyancy. Maybe these are the words of an artist with more ambition than practical skill, driven to hyperbole by failure, jealousy and unwarranted optimism – but I see something."
